2023 HAJJ: OGUN BRACES-UP FOR ARAFAT, COMMENDS NAHCON ON PREPARATIONS

Ogun Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board says the State Pilgrims on Holy Pilgrimage to Mecca and Medina are fully prepared for Arafat, commending the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for its preparedness towards the journey.

 

Chairman, Ad-hoc Committee, Dr. Tajudeen Asaye gave the commendation while inspecting some of the facilities put in place by Saudi Arabia Authority at Mina and Arafat in Mecca, commended NAHCON official’s pro-activeness, especially with logistics provided at strategic places to meet the need of the Pilgrims.

 

Dr. Asaye expressed satisfaction on facilities put in place by the authority of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for hitch-free hajj exercise at Masha’ir, assuring that Ogun Pilgrims would follow the laid down rules and regulations put in place by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah so that everything would go well as planned.

 

Also speaking, NAHCON’s Taraddudiyya(Transportation) Coordinator, Dr. Aliyu Tanko said that the essence of pre-Arafat tour and facility inspections was to acquaint the States Pilgrims Welfare Boards with facilities that are available for the benefit of the Pilgrims in Arafat, Mina, and Muzdalifah, urging the State  officials in maintaining proper coordination and decorum of their Pilgrims in order to achieve a seamless exercise.

 

In his submission, Officer In-Charge of Taraddudiyya(Transportation), Mr. Abubakr Ba-Ni’ima assured that the Pilgrims would have a stress-free Hajj experience as buses have been stationed to convey them  to their various designated tents. According to him, “part of the arrangements is numbering of the buses that will  convey the Pilgrims in accordance with their tents number”.

 

He appealed to NAHCON to take full control of Nigerian Pilgrims by maintaining orderliness in order to allow free movement of buses, urging them to direct State Pilgrims’ Boards to control their pilgrims to be orderly to ensure successful exercise.
