The Adamawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Commission has announced seat allocations for the 2027 Hajj across the state’s 21 local government areas and introduced new payment requirements for the Hadaya (sacrificial animal offering).
The Acting Executive Chairman of the Commission, Khalifa Abubakar Salihu, disclosed this on Monday during a stakeholders’ meeting with Hajj schedule officers from the 21 local government areas.
Salihu, who is also the District Head and Wakili Gurin, said the allocations were designed to ensure equitable distribution of available seats and provide intending pilgrims across the state with an opportunity to participate in the pilgrimage.
He also informed the officers of new regulations introduced by Saudi Arabian authorities requiring all Hadaya payments for the 2027 Hajj to be made through the Nusuk Masar platform.
According to him, payment through the approved digital platform is compulsory for the issuance of Hajj visas, warning that payments made through unauthorised channels could expose pilgrims to sanctions by Saudi authorities.
He cautioned intending pilgrims against subscribing to Hadaya arrangements outside the official platform, stressing the need to comply with the new requirements.
The acting chairman consequently directed the 21 local government schedule officers to return to their respective areas and sensitise intending pilgrims about the payment procedure and the consequences of using unauthorised channels.
He emphasised the importance of early communication to ensure that pilgrims understand and comply with the requirements ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage.
