The Association for Hajj and Umrah Operators of Nigeria (AHUON) has stated that the appointment of New Chairman for the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) would strengthen the Commission’s commitment to ensuring the smooth and successful pilgrimage of Nigerian Muslims to the holy land.

A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of AHUON, Nasir Chamo Muhammad, congratulating the new Chairman, Alhaji Jalal Ahmad Arabi, stated that the move marks a significant milestone in the regulation and administration of #Hajj and Umrah operations in Nigeria.

Chamo said the new chairman would bring a wealth of experience and expertise in public sector management having served in various leadership roles in the public service, where he reached his pinnacle of service and retired as a celebrated federal permanent secretary.

He pointed out that the appointment of a competent and dedicated individual like Mr. Arabi demonstrated the federal government’s commitment to the development and growth of the Hajj and Umrah sector.

“AHUON applauds this decision, as it reflects the importance placed on ensuring the well-being and safety of Nigerian pilgrims. We are confident that under Mr. Arabi’s guidance, NAHCON will continue to uphold the highest standards of professionalism, accountability and openness while building on the successes achieved by the previous Management team.”

He said the association is looking forward to work closely with the new chairman in promoting the welfare and interests of our members as well as the Nigerian pilgrims who embark on the sacred journey of hajj and umrah.
