The Hajj Agencies Association of Bangladesh (HAB) on Wednesday announced three private Hajj packages for 2027, fixing the lowest cost of performing Hajj at Tk 513,545 under its economy package, while introducing a premium package costing up to Tk 791,060.
The packages were unveiled at a press conference at a hotel in Nayapaltan in the capital by HAB president Syed Golam Sarwar in the presence of secretary general Farid Ahmed Mazumder and other leaders of the association.
Under the announced packages, the special package (Package-1) has been priced at Tk 791,060, the general package (Package-2) at Tk 595,580 and the economy package (Package-3) at Tk 513,545.
Golam Sarwar said private Hajj agencies would also be allowed to introduce one additional premium package based on the preferences and service requirements of pilgrims.
He said the package prices had been calculated on the basis of an exchange rate of Tk 33.20 per Saudi riyal. If the exchange rate changes before Hajj, the package prices will be adjusted accordingly.
The HAB president said the association had prepared the packages after considering accommodation, transport, food, airfare and other essential services to ensure that pilgrims receive standard facilities during their stay in Saudi Arabia.
He said the government-approved general Hajj package would remain mandatory for private pilgrims.
However, agencies operating under group arrangements would be allowed to offer up to three additional packages in coordination with one another to meet varying demands.
He added that no agency would be permitted to introduce a package offering services inferior to those included in the government’s approved general package.
Compared with this year’s private Hajj packages, the costs have increased across all categories.
In 2026, the special package was priced at Tk 750,000, while the general and economy packages cost Tk 550,000 and Tk 510,000 respectively.
The increase reflects higher operational costs and adjustments in various service charges associated with organising the pilgrimage, although HAB did not provide a detailed breakdown.
The announcement came as preparations began for the 2027 Hajj season, with both the government and private operators expected to finalise registration procedures and logistical arrangements in the coming months.
HAB urged prospective pilgrims to complete the necessary formalities through authorised agencies and follow official instructions regarding package selection and payment schedules.
