The Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has set September 7, 2026, as the deadline for payment of the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris, the Board’s Executive Secretary, announced this during a press conference in his office.

He explained that intending pilgrims who have not yet completed their Hajj payments would be given an extra week to make arrangements to settle their outstanding balances and ensure their participation in the pilgrimage.

Dr Abdurrahman Idris also appealed to pilgrims who had earlier made deposits to complete their payments, noting that the outstanding funds would enable the Board to fulfil its payment obligations to the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON.

The Executive Secretary further directed pilgrims who have completed their payments but are yet to submit their e-passports to do so between 7th and 10th September 2026.

He appealed to people of the state to exercise patience and understanding, stressing that the deadline was not imposed by the state board but was communicated to it by NAHCON.

Dr Imam Abdurrahman Ibrahim Idris urged all intending pilgrims concerned to comply with the directives within the stipulated period to facilitate the necessary arrangements for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.
