The Pilgrims Affairs Office of Ghana (PAOG), also known as the Ghana Hajj Board, has announced GH¢60,000 as the official fare for the 2027 Hajj pilgrimage.

The fare remains unchanged from the GH¢60,000 charged for the 2026 Hajj.

In a statement issued on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, PAOG said payment for the 2027 pilgrimage had begun and would be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis until Ghana’s allocated Hajj quota is exhausted.

Chairman of PAOG, also known as the Ghana Hajj Board, Alhaji Abdul-Rauf Tanko Ibrahim, urged intending pilgrims to complete their payments and submit the required documentation early to avoid last-minute difficulties.

“All payments must be made through the approved channels only,” PAOG said, warning that it would not be responsible for payments made through unauthorised channels.
