Kano State Governor, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has doled out 100 Saudi Riyals to each of the 3,121 pilgrims from the state as a Sallah gesture.

The Deputy Governor of the state, who is the Amirul Hajj in this year’s Hajj, Comr. Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo made this known during his visit to the pilgrims’ camps at Mina in Saudi Arabia.

BizPoint recalls that each pilgrim had previously received N500,000 to complete the 2024 Hajj fare and an additional N150,000 to top up their Basic Travel Allowance, BTA, to reach  500 US dollars.

This significant support has eased the financial burden on the pilgrims, allowing them to focus on their spiritual journey.

Meanwhile, the deputy governor also announced that Alhaji Mijinyawa, CEO of Sahad Stores, also gifted 50 Saudi Riyals to each Kano pilgrim as a Salah gift.

The Deputy Governor encouraged pilgrims to offer earnest prayers for themselves, their loved ones, and the progress and development of Kano State and Nigeria at large.

The Deputy Governor, accompanied by dignitaries, visited all 44 local government areas’ tents in Mina, demonstrating the state government’s commitment to the well-being of its citizens. This gesture has boosted the morale of the pilgrims, who are now more focused on their spiritual endeavours.
