Hajj 2024: FCT set to commence airlift tomorrow as NAHCON Chairman Inspects Hajj camp facilities

The Federal Capital Territory Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board have concluded arrangements for the commencement of airlift of this year’s intending Pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.

The Director of the board, Mallam Abubakar Adamu Evuti disclosed this when he received the chairman of National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), Mallam Jalal Ahmad Arabi who inspected the Hajj Camp facility before commencement of the airlift.

Mallam Evuti informed the Chairman that the Board has so far registered 2978 intending pilgrims for this year’s exercise.

The Director explained that the intending pilgrims have been vaccinated in line with the requirements of the journey to the holy land.

He said the Board had also conducted four phases of education and orientation exercise for the intending pilgrims. During the exercise, the intending pilgrims were taught in seven Nigerian languages, so as to be conversant with the Hajj rituals as well as the rules and regulations of both countries.

In remark after the inspection, the chairman of NAHCON, Mallam Arabi expressed satisfaction with what is on ground and pledged the commitment of the commission to ensure successful operation.

The first flight of FCT intending Pilgrims is billed to take up to Saudi Arabia tomorrow 15th may, 2024.
