HAJJ 2024: TARABA EDUCATES INTENDING PILGRIMS ON RITES

The Taraba State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has adopted a last-minute decentralised enlightenment strategy to educate intending pilgrims from the state on Hajj rites.

The Assistant Director Information of the board, Malam Hamza Baba Muri, said this during a visit to the Central Zone where the 2024 intending pilgrims are receiving lectures on Hajj rites.

The two-week enlightenment programme, which kick started today in Mutum-biyu, the Headquarters of Gassol Local Government Area, is organised by the Centre Officer of the area, Ustaz Babasule Aminu.

Addressing the intending pilgrims, the Baba Muri assured them of the board’s commitment towards their welfare while in Nigeria and in Saudi Arabia.

He said the board has already secured a befitting accommodation, catering services and transportation, among others, for their convenience.

He therefore called on them to complement the board’s effort by being punctual to the  programme, which is one of the prerequisites of a successful Hajj operation.

On his part, the Centre Officer urged the intending pilgrims to give maximum support and cooperation for the success of the exercise.

Expressing his appreciation to the   visiting officer, Ustaz Babasule Aminu said highlight of the training included presentation of practical aspects of Hajj performance by the Ulamas and other stakeholders.
