Katsina – The Katsina State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced preparations for a successful 2025 Hajj exercise. This followed the beginning of firm arrangements for payment of Hajj deposits by intending pilgrims from the state.
The commencement of the Deposit and Pilgrims Registration was announced at a crucial joint meeting between members of board and management staff of the agency.
The meeting, which was held at the Conference Hall of the board, is aimed at deliberating on the crucial issues concerning the 2024 Hajj operations and to strategize on the preparations for the commencement of the 2025 Hajj deposit and pilgrims registration.
In his welcome address at the meeting, the Board Chairman, Alhaji Kabir Bature Sarkin Alhazai, congratulated the board members, management and staff for their dedication and commitment during the 2024 Hajj exercise.
On his part, the Executive Director of the board, Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama, also lauded the board members, management and staff of the board for their efforts in ensuring a successful Hajj 2024 operation.
Alhaji Yunusa Abdullahi Dankama, who briefed them on the recent meeting in Abuja organized by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) regarding the 2025 Hajj deposit collections and pilgrims registration.
The Executive Director, appreciation their general conduct during the 2024 Hajj exercise.
He however urged them to work together as a solid team towards the success of the board.
Alhaji Dankama also expressed appreciation over the way and manner the Executive Governor of the state, Mallam Dikko Umar Radda PhD, supported the board.
Highlight of the meeting was the introduction of the newly posted Director Admin and Supply of the board, Mallam Nasiru Ladan.
