The Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board under the Stewardship of Mallam Idris Almakura has flagged off medical screening for this year’s intending pilgrims.
Declaring the exercise open at the Emir’s Palace, Nasarawa, Mallam Almakura said no intending Pilgrim will be allowed to Hajj without undergoing the medical screening.
Head of the medical screening Dr. Muhammad Salihu said intending pilgrims will undergo Blood Group, Pregnancy Test, PVC, Scanning, Yellow fever vaccine, Meningitis, Influenza, among others.
Dr. Muhammad noted that the exercise is compulsory to ascertain the health status of all intending pilgrims before embarking on the spiritual journey.
The Executive Secretary, Mallam Idris Almakura, has delegated a team of some staff led by the Director of Planning, Research and Statistics to monitor the exercise
