The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed that visas for all registered pilgrims from the state for the 2026 Hajj have been received and printed.
This is according to a statement issued by the board’s Public Relations Officer, Sulaiman A. Dederi, on Thursday.
According to him, the Director General of the board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, disclosed this while speaking from Saudi Arabia, assuring that there are no challenges regarding visa processing for pilgrims from the state.
Matawalle said all registered pilgrims already have their visas printed and attached to their international passports.
He urged intending pilgrims and members of the public to disregard rumours suggesting delays or problems with visa issuance, warning against the spread of unverified information, fake links and misleading messages.
The director general added that officials of the board are currently in Saudi Arabia finalising arrangements to ensure a smooth and successful Hajj exercise for pilgrims from Kano State.
He also assured pilgrims that preparations are ongoing to guarantee their welfare, safety and proper coordination throughout the pilgrimage.
Matawalle further disclosed that the Basic Travel Allowance (BTA) for intending pilgrims is currently being processed.
