Bangladesh Bank on Thursday urged relevant banks and stakeholders to complete the process within the stipulated time, referring to the ministry’s earlier notice on Hajj registration.
According to the Ministry of Religious Affairs, registration for Hajj 2027 began on July 27 in line with the schedule set by Saudi authorities and will close on September 24. The deadline will not be extended. (mora.gov.bd)
Immediately after registration closes, Bangladesh will have to inform Saudi authorities of the final number of pilgrims.
Bangladesh has been allocated a quota of 78,500 pilgrims for Hajj 2027.
As of September 9, a total of 3,741 intending pilgrims had registered — 1,065 under government management and 2,676 through private Hajj agencies.
The Ministry of Religious Affairs has urged intending pilgrims, Hajj agencies, banks involved in Hajj activities and other stakeholders to complete registration by September 24 in accordance with the Saudi timetable.
