The Officials of the Hadaya committee of the Nigerian Federal Capital Territory, Muslims Pilgrims Welfare Board has confirmed the slaughtering of nine hundred sacrificial animals on behalf of the pilgrims who paid for Hadaya through the FCT Pilgrims Welfare Board.
The Chairman of the Hadaya committee Malam Sanusi Rayyan revealed after the team inspected the butchering process in Mecca.
Malam Rayyan who is also the Deputy Director of Monitoring and Evaluation of the FCT Pilgrims Board said the inspection was to justify the confidence reposed in the committee through effective monitoring of the entire process.
He commended the contracting company for providing matured and healthy animals as part of the contract specification.
Malam Rayyan described the spirit of transparency and accountability exhibited by those entrusted to handle the slaughtering as commendable.
