Iranian officials laud care provided to sick pilgrims

Iranian Haj officials visit a sick Iranian pilgrim in Al-Noor Specialist Hospital, Makkah. — SPA


The Chairman of the Iranian Haj and Ziyarah Organization Dr. Ali Reza Hussein Rashidian visited Al-Noor Specialist Hospital in Makkah on Friday to check on the health of the Iranian pilgrims receiving medical treatment at the hospital, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported.

The hospital’s emergency room has received 199 male and female patients among the Iranian pilgrims, of whom 71 were hospitalized in the inpatient departments of the hospital. Meanwhile, 20 surgeries were conducted on Iranian pilgrims, the Director of Al-Noor Specialist Hospital Dr. Fawaz Bin Hamdi Al-Jihani said.

Dr. Rashidian was accompanied during his visit by the representative of the “Waliy Al-Faqih” for Haj and Ziyarah Affairs Abdulfattah Nawab and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Mutawwifs Establishment for Iranian Pilgrims Dr. Issam Bin Ibrahim Azhar.

Following the visit, Dr. Rashidian praised the medical services being provided and expressed his thanks to the director of the hospital and the medical staff, who provided medical care and services of the highest standards to the Iranian pilgrims.

Meanwhile, Dr. Fawaz Al-Jihani said: “The Ministry of Health has placed all its medical, technical and nursing capabilities at the disposal of pilgrims so as to provide them full healthcare and the best and highest standard medical services to enable them to perform their rituals with ease and safety.”

“This is in line with the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman and Crown Prince Muhammad Bin Salman, deputy premier and minister of defense,” he stressed.

Dr. Al-Jihani further said: “The Emergency Room at Al-Noor Specialist Hospital received 199 male and female patients among the Iranian pilgrims. They were provided with the required medical, health, diagnostic and curative services.”

He added: “In addition, 71 patients among the Iranian pilgrims were hospitalized in the inpatient departments of the hospital while 20 surgeries were conducted on Iranian pilgrims. All of the operations were successful. They are now receiving the necessary treatment in the hospital and we wish them a quick recovery.”
