King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah is moving seven airlines from the North Terminal to the Hajj and Umrah Terminal, often called the Hajj Terminal, between 1 and 15 October 2026, the airport announced on X. It says the move is meant to improve the flow of operations and the passenger experience.
The move happens on a set date for each airline.Tarco Aviation moved on 1 October. Yemenia follows on 8 October, then SCAT Airlines, Uzbekistan Airways, Daallo Airlines and Somon Air, with Sudan Airways the last to move on 15 October.
What to Do Before You Fly
- Check your terminal before you leave: look at your booking or the airline’s own app or website. When it announced the Terminal 4 moves, the airport operator asked passengers to confirm their departure terminal through the airline’s official channels or the airport’s website and social accounts, Jeddah Airports Company said.
- Booked before the move: your ticket may still show the North Terminal. The date of your flight is what counts, so if you fly on or after your airline’s moving date, head to the Hajj and Umrah Terminal unless the airline tells you otherwise
- Meeting someone off a flight: the airport has not said whether arrivals move on the same dates, so ask the airline or check the arrival terminal on the day before you drive to the airport.
- Taking the Haramain train: the airport station is inside the main terminal building, Terminal 1, and is open daily from 06:30 to 00:30, according to Haramain High Speed Railway. If you are going on to Makkah or Madinah by train, allow time to get to Terminal 1.
Not the Terminal 4 Move
This is a separate move from the opening of Terminal 4, the former South Terminal, which started on 27 September 2026. Airlines including Wizz Air, AJet, SalamAir, Pegasus and SyrianAir are moving there instead, and none of the seven airlines above is on that list. See our Jeddah Airport Terminal 4 guide for those airlines and dates.
