In a significant move underscoring the Kaduna State Government’s commitment to the welfare and comfort of intending pilgrims, the Chief of Staff to the Governor of Kaduna State, Malam Sani Kila, alongside the Special Adviser to the Governor on Islamic Affairs, Ustaz Abdulrahman Hunain, on Monday, 11th May 2026, paid this an extensive inspection visit to the Kaduna State Hajj Transit Camp ahead of inaugural flight scheduled for Wednesday , 13th May 2026.

The high-level visit was aimed at assessing the level of preparedness, facilities, and operational arrangements put in place for the smooth takeoff of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The delegation was warmly received by officials of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, led by the Executive Chairman, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, alongside senior management staff.

During the inspection tour, Malam Sani Kila expressed deep satisfaction with the impressive state of readiness at the transit camp, describing the facility as one of the most modern and best-equipped Hajj transit camps in Nigeria. He noted that the standard of infrastructure, organization, and services provided at the camp clearly reflects the Kaduna State Government’s dedication to excellence and quality service delivery.

Speaking during the visit, the Chief of Staff commended the visionary leadership and unwavering support of the Kaduna State Governor for prioritizing the welfare of intending pilgrims and ensuring that all necessary resources were made available for a hitch-free Hajj operation.

He further praised the Executive Chairman of the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Malam Salihu S. Abubakar, for his tireless efforts, administrative competence, and commitment toward transforming the agency into a model for Hajj administration in Nigeria.

According to him, the remarkable improvements witnessed at the camp are a clear testimony to the government’s determination to provide Kaduna pilgrims with a comfortable, organized, and spiritually fulfilling Hajj experience from departure to return.

The delegation toured several sections of the transit camp, including accommodation facilities, medical units, pilgrims’ registration and documentation centers, feeding areas, security arrangements, and luggage handling sections. Officials of the agency briefed the visitors on the level of preparedness and the various measures already put in place to guarantee seamless operations during the airlift exercise.

Malam Sani Kila emphasized the importance of proper coordination, discipline, and professionalism among officials and service providers involved in the Hajj exercise, stressing that Kaduna State remains committed to maintaining high standards in pilgrims’ welfare and administration.

Also speaking during the visit, the Special Adviser on Islamic Affairs, Ustaz Abdulrahman Hunain, applauded the level of organization and preparedness at the transit camp. He urged intending pilgrims to cooperate fully with officials, adhere strictly to guidelines, and pray for peace, unity, and progress in Kaduna State and Nigeria as a whole during their spiritual journey.

The visit served as part of the state government’s final readiness assessment ahead of the inaugural flight and demonstrated the administration’s resolve to ensure that all intending pilgrims from Kaduna State enjoy a smooth, safe, and successful pilgrimage exercise.

The 2026 Hajj inaugural flight from Kaduna State is expected to mark the beginning of the airlift operations for hundreds of intending pilgrims traveling to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to perform one of the five pillars of Islam.

The atmosphere at the transit camp reflected excitement and optimism as officials intensified final preparations for the historic exercise, while intending pilgrims expressed appreciation for the improved facilities and support provided by the Kaduna State Government.
