Kano Issues Visa for All Registered Pilgrims, Distributes Hand Luggage for 2026 Hajj

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced the distribution of hand luggage and uniforms to intending pilgrims as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj.

Director General of the Board, Abubakar Ibrahim Matawalle, who flagged off the exercise, said the initiative is aimed at ensuring pilgrims are adequately prepared for the spiritual journey.

He urged Hajj centre officers across the local government areas to coordinate the distribution effectively to ensure timely and orderly delivery of items to pilgrims.

Matawalle also disclosed that the state has completed the processing and collection of visas for all its registered pilgrims, noting that necessary arrangements for the exercise have been concluded.

According to him, the items distributed include hand luggage, uniforms for men, wrappers and hijabs for women, as well as Hajj guide books to assist pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage.

He advised intending pilgrims to make proper use of the items and maintain them properly.
