Kano pilgrims board holds peace prayer for state, Nigeria  in Makkah

The management of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board organized a special prayer session for peace in Kano State and across Nigeria, the agency’s spokesman, Suleman Dederi said in a statement on Friday.

The event, according to him, which took place at Kudai Area in the Makka Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, saw the convergence of religious leaders, government officials, community leaders, and members of the public, all united in their quest for tranquility and harmony in the region.

The special prayer session, led by esteemed religious clerics, included recitations from the Holy Quran, supplications, and reflections on the importance of peace and tolerance in society.

Dederi noted that the initiative underscores the board’s commitment to promoting social cohesion and spiritual well-being within the community.

During the event, the Director General of the Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board, Alh. Lamin Rabi’u Danbappa, highlighted the significance of collective prayer in addressing the current challenges faced by the state and the nation at large.

“Peace is a fundamental prerequisite for development and prosperity. Through this prayer session, we are seeking divine intervention to guide us towards a more harmonious and united Nigeria,” he stated.

In his address, the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Alh. Yusif Lawan, emphasized the role of faith and unity in overcoming societal issues. He urged all attendees to continue praying for peace and to actively contribute to creating a peaceful environment through their actions and interactions.

The Kano State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains dedicated to the spiritual and moral upliftment of its citizens and will continue to organize such initiatives aimed at fostering peace and unity. The Board calls on all residents of Kano State and Nigerians at large to embrace peace and work towards the common goal of national harmony.

The religious leaders who contributed during this special prayer include Sheikh Muhd Sani Ashir, Sheikh Tijjani Sani Maihula, Sheikh Isma’il Ilyasu Mangu, Sheikh Tijjani Bala Kalarawi, Sheikh Umar Yakubu Kabara, Sheikh Mujahideen Aminudeen, and Malama Khadija.
