The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has announced that its Chairman, Professor Abdullahi Saleh Usman, will on Monday, September 22, 2025, lead a delegation of Commissioners and the Commission’s Secretary, Dr. Mustapha M. Ali, to Saudi Arabia to conclude service agreements ahead of the 2026 Hajj.
According to a statement by Deputy Director of Information and Public Relations, Fatima Sanda Usara, the trip is in line with the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah’s operational calendar, which earmarked September 6–23, 2025 (15–29 Safar 1447H) for early contracting and payment of Mashair (camps). Essential services, including transportation and accommodation, must also be secured between September 23–24 (1–2 Rabi’ al-Awwal 1447H).
The Ministry further fixed October 12, 2025 (20 Rabi’ al-Thani 1447H), as the deadline for pilgrims’ registration and submission of grouping data via the Nusuk platform.
To meet these requirements, NAHCON has set October 8, 2025, as the deadline for State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, Agencies, Commissions, and licensed Hajj tour operators to remit fares for the 2026 exercise.
The Commission urged all stakeholders to adhere strictly to the timelines to guarantee seamless arrangements and a successful pilgrimage for Nigerian pilgrims.
