The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has directed State Pilgrims Welfare Boards, Agencies and Commissions, as well as licensed Private Tour Operators, to commence preparations for the 1448H/2027 Hajj exercise.

The commission said the directive was part of its commitment to early planning and continuous improvement in the management of Hajj operations.

According to a circular dated June 15, 2026, titled “Commencement of Preparations for 1448H/2027 Hajj Season,” and signed by the Secretary of the Commission, Dr Mustapha Muhammad Ali, on behalf of the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, preparations for the next Hajj season have formally begun.

NAHCON instructed all Hajj managers across the country to immediately begin preparatory activities in strict compliance with the official guidelines issued by the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for the 2027 pilgrimage.

The commission said the early commencement of preparations was aimed at ensuring a smooth and successful Hajj operation for Nigerian pilgrims.
