Officials of the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria have conducted a working visit to the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency as part of preparations for the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The delegation, led by Muhammad Bin Usman, inspected key facilities of the agency, including administrative offices, screening centres and other operational units designed to support a smooth pilgrimage process.

The visit, according to a statement, was aimed at assessing the level of readiness of the state ahead of the exercise and strengthening coordination between the federal commission and state authorities responsible for pilgrims’ affairs.

Speaking during the inspection, Usman stressed the importance of early planning, proper documentation and strict adherence to guidelines set by Saudi authorities to ensure a successful Hajj.

He also highlighted the need for effective health screening, orientation programmes and efficient logistics for intending pilgrims.

The NAHCON team commended the Kebbi State government for its commitment to improving pilgrims’ welfare and providing necessary infrastructure for seamless operations.

In his response, Executive Chairman of the agency, Faruku Aliyu Yaro, reaffirmed the agency’s readiness to meet all requirements and ensure a hitch-free and spiritually fulfilling journey for pilgrims from the state.

The visit is part of NAHCON’s nationwide assessment of states’ preparedness to guarantee a smooth 2026 Hajj operation.
