A new Permanent Secretary has formally assumed duty at the Pilgrims Welfare Agency, Sokoto State, with Alhaji Ibrahim Umar JJ taking over the leadership of the agency.
The assumption of office took place during a brief handing-over ceremony held at the agency’s temporary office within the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) Hajj Transit Camp in Modorawa.
In his remarks, Ibrahim Umar pledged to work diligently towards the growth and development of the agency, with a focus on improving the welfare and services provided to pilgrims. He appealed for the cooperation and commitment of staff to enable the agency effectively deliver on its mandate.
Also speaking at the ceremony, the Director of Administration, Alhaji Ladan Ibrahim, assured the new Permanent Secretary of the full support and cooperation of the agency’s staff.
The agency’s management expressed optimism that the new leadership would strengthen operations, particularly ahead of upcoming Hajj activities.
