The Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board has extended its ongoing sensitisation campaign for the 2027 Hajj exercise to Niger South Senatorial District, reinforcing its earlier warning in Minna that intending pilgrims must make all official payments strictly through the Board’s designated bank accounts.
The latest sensitisation took place on Saturday, August 29, 2026, during a one-hour live phone-in programme on Radio Nigeria Power FM 100.5, Bida, as a continuation of the Board’s earlier radio engagements in Minna.
The outreach was designed to take accurate and timely information on the 2027 Hajj exercise closer to intending pilgrims in Niger South and surrounding communities, while providing them with an opportunity to seek clarification directly from the Board’s management.
Speaking during the programme, the Director of Administration of the Board, Alhaji Ado Bello, reiterated the Board’s directive that all Hajj-related payments must be made only through its officially designated bank accounts.
He cautioned intending pilgrims against fraudsters, personal accounts and unauthorised intermediaries, stressing the need to verify any payment instruction or Hajj-related information before taking action.

Bello advised intending pilgrims to retain evidence of all payments for proper documentation and verification, while urging them to commence preparations early, including registration, passport processing, medical screening and participation in mandatory orientation and training programmes.
The Bida programme, conducted in English, Hausa and Nupe, also featured discussions on registration procedures, documentation, payment processes, travel requirements, health guidelines and other critical aspects of Hajj preparation.
Listeners were given the opportunity to call into the programme and seek clarification on the 2027 Hajj fare, registration and travel requirements, with Board officials responding to their questions live on air.
The Board said the continued radio sensitisation across the state was part of its commitment to ensuring that intending pilgrims have access to reliable information and are adequately prepared for the pilgrimage.
It urged prospective pilgrims to rely only on verified communication channels and to visit the Niger State Pilgrims’ Welfare Board Headquarters in Minna or its Zonal Office in Bida whenever clarification is required.
The Board reaffirmed its commitment to transparency, accountability and the welfare of Niger State pilgrims, assuring intending pilgrims that additional information on the 2027 Hajj exercise would be communicated through official channels.
