No Decision Yet on State for Inaugural Hajj Flight – Official Source

A highly placed source in the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has clarified that no final decision has been taken on the state that will host the inaugural flight for the 2026 Hajj.

The source, who spoke to Hajj Reporters, said the commission is yet to conclude consultations on the matter and assured that an official update would be communicated once a decision is reached.

The clarification follows an earlier report indicating that Bauchi State would host the inaugural flight.

The information credited to officials of the Bauchi State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board was based on a previous arrangement under the former leadership of the commission.

“The decision has not been finalised by the government. We will update the public as soon as a position is reached,” the source said.

The development suggests that deliberations are still ongoing within NAHCON on the states that will eventually host the first flight of Nigerian pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
