To streamline preparations for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, the Osun State Muslims’ Pilgrim Welfare Board has officially began issuing clearance receipts to intending pilgrims, marking a proactive step toward ensuring a seamless spiritual experience in Mecca.
Executive Secretary of the Board, Mr. Muritala Fakunle, announced the rollout in a statement on Monday, urging all registered pilgrims who have finalized their payments to promptly collect their clearance receipts from the Board’s office. He emphasized that the certificate serves as critical proof of eligibility and readiness for the pilgrimage, confirming that all required documentation and financial obligations have been fulfilled.
According to him, we are committed to making the 2025 Hajj exercise one of the most organized and stress-free for our pilgrims,” Fakunle stated. “Early clearance allows us to address logistical needs in advance and ensures pilgrims can focus on spiritual preparation.”
The release also enjoined the intending Pilgrims to collect the state-approved Hajj uniforms and the orientation handbook to all certified pilgrims. The book aims to educate Pilgrims on rituals, protocols, and cultural guidelines essential for the sacred journey.
The boards’ Scribe underscored the importance of adherence to these guidelines, noting that the initiative aligns with global Hajj standards.
In her words, a registered pilgrim, Mrs. Monsurat Gbolahan, who applauded the Board’s efficiency pointed out that this early process gives them peace of mind to start planning for the pilgrimage “We’re grateful for the ongoing construction of the new Hajj camp, which shows the government’s dedication to improving facilities”,. Extending prayers for Governor Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke’s leadership.
