The new health guidelines were contained in a circular issued by GACA under Article 23 of the Civil Aviation Law to all airlines operating in the airport of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including Private Aviation.

“All airlines must inform passengers coming to the Kingdom holders or Umrah Visas or those intending to perform Umrah or visit regardless of visa type about the new health requirements.

It states that all airlines in these categories must ensure passengers are vaccinated with Quadrivalent Neisseria meningitis vaccine, either with a polysaccharide or congregated type. Passengers must hold vaccination certificates issued at least 10 days prior to arrival and not more than 3 years for the polysaccharide type or 5 years for the conjugated type.

However, Children under one year are exempted from the vaccine

The circular further warned that failure to comply with an order issued by GACA is an explicit violation of the governments order and that violators will be held responsible
