The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah says more than 3.8 million pilgrims have performed Umrah from the start of the season to the end of Rabi’ al-Awwal, representing a 6 percent increase compared to the same period last year.
According to the ministry, about 2.8 million arrivals were recorded, with a 33 percent rise in Umrah visas issued compared to last season. Pilgrims from over 135 nationalities have so far taken part in the rituals.
The ministry noted that the growth reflects ongoing efforts to enhance services and facilities, ensuring Makkah and Madinah remain a place of resort and safety for visitors worldwide.
