The Zamfara State Government has commended the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) for its service delivery during the 2026 Hajj exercise, particularly its response to issues affecting the welfare of pilgrims from the state.
The commendation was conveyed in a letter dated June 11, 2026, and signed by the Emir of Anka and Chairman of the Zamfara State 2026 Amirul Hajj Committee, Alhaji Attahiru Muhammad Ahmad.
In the letter titled “Appreciation for Effective Service Delivery and Prompt Response to Emerging Challenges,” the committee praised NAHCON under the leadership of its Chairman, Ambassador Ismail Abba Yusuf, for promptly addressing concerns raised during the pilgrimage.
The committee noted that the commission’s swift interventions on feeding and accommodation arrangements in Madinah and Mina significantly improved the comfort and overall experience of Zamfara pilgrims.
It added that the level of coordination, care and attention demonstrated by the NAHCON chairman reflected a strong commitment to ensuring that pilgrims performed their religious obligations in a peaceful and conducive atmosphere.
The committee also expressed appreciation to the commission’s management and staff for their dedication and service, while praying for divine rewards for all those who contributed to the success of the 2026 Hajj operation.
