Jigawa State Muslim Welfare Pilgrims Board (JSPWB) on Thursday commenced the distribution of bags and materials for uniforms to this year’s intending pilgrims.
The Director General of the Pilgrims Board, Alhaji Umar Labbo, said the materials for uniforms and bags were distributed to the intending pilgrims from the 27 Local Government Areas of the state.
Umar Labbo explained that each of the intending pilgrims from the state, both male and female, were provided with a uniform to serve as an identity of the pilgrims.
“The uniform is serving as an identity because it is unique and peculiar to Jigawa state pilgrims, and each pilgrim must wear the uniform throughout his/her stay in the Holy Land” Malam Labbo said.
In his remarks, after receiving the Uniforms and 8kg luggage for the pilgrims of kafin Hausa Local Government and the Chairman of the Zonals promised to judiciously distribute the items to the intending pilgrims while assuring that he will uphold the highest standards of service as they prepare to assist the pilgrims in their spiritual journey.
Umar Labbo also supervised the distribution of the hand booklet to the intending pilgrims. He said the book will also serve as a guide to the pilgrims because it contains all the stages of the hajj rites.
Labbo added that the board provide a broader strategy to enhance the overall pilgrimage experience, addressing logistics challenges that pilgrims often face.
Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board remains committed to ensuring that all intending pilgrims have a fulfilling and memorable experience, underscoring the significance of the sacred journey.
The Board further advised intending pilgrims to be good ambassadors of the state and the country while in Saudi Arabia.
