In preparation for the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage, the Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency has inaugurated a Pilgrims Enlightenment and Orientation Committee aimed at educating intending pilgrims across the state.

The Chairman of the agency, Alhaji Faruk Musa Yaro (Enabo), officially inaugurated the committee, emphasizing the need for thorough enlightenment on the dos and don’ts of the Hajj exercise. He charged the committee with the responsibility of ensuring that all pilgrims are well-informed and conduct themselves with decorum during the sacred journey.

The committee has since commenced visits to various pilgrims’ centers across Kebbi State. So far, it has covered Gwandu, Aleiro, Jega, Wara, and Ngaski Local Government Areas. The visits are part of a larger plan to reach all 21 local government areas of the state.

Alhaji Faruk urged the committee to intensify efforts in educating pilgrims on Manasik (Hajj rites) and to ensure they understand the rules and regulations guiding the pilgrimage.

According to him, “This exercise is crucial in preparing our intending pilgrims spiritually, morally, and mentally for the journey. We want them to be good ambassadors of Kebbi State and Nigeria at large.”

The orientation campaign is expected to continue in the coming weeks, ahead of the departure for the 2025 Hajj.
