As preparations intensify for the 2025 Hajj, Mashariq Al Mutawaziya, the NAHCON-accredited service provider for Nigerian pilgrims, has unveiled a comprehensive set of upgraded facilities and services aimed at improving the comfort, safety, and overall experience of pilgrims in Mina and Arafat.

According to a newly released service manual, the enhancements are designed to meet global standards while responding to the specific needs of Nigerian pilgrims. The initiative is part of the broader efforts by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to modernize Hajj logistics and uphold the dignity of the sacred journey.

Key Features of the Upgraded Services Include:

– Enhanced Sanitation: Pilgrims can expect general cleaning every eight hours and after each main meal, supported by two cleaners per toilet complex available around the clock.

– Climate Control: Tents in Mina will be equipped with Freon air conditioners rated at 250 BTU/m³ to combat desert heat, ensuring a more comfortable environment.

– Lighting and Accessibility: Tents and corridors will feature strategically placed lighting units, with 2% of facilities tailored to accommodate people with special needs, including accessible toilets.

– Nutrition and Hydration: Pilgrims will receive 3 liters of bottled water daily, in addition to three nutritious meals and two snacks served punctually each day.

– Security and Oversight: Around-the-clock security personnel and general supervisors will ensure safety and order. Dedicated customer service agents (1 per 50 pilgrims) will also be on hand to assist with needs, all easily identifiable by uniform and ID badges.

– Digital Operations: Passport scanning and accommodation verification will be executed swiftly via the Tafweej Group Dispatching System, streamlining pilgrim movement and reducing processing times.

In a gesture of cultural sensitivity, welcome signs will be displayed in multiple languages, and staff will be trained to provide timely, respectful assistance to Nigerian pilgrims throughout their stay.

These advancements underscore NAHCON’s commitment to improving the welfare and satisfaction of Nigerian pilgrims amid rising operational costs and global logistical challenges.

With these enhanced services in place, Nigerian pilgrims can look forward to a Hajj experience that blends tradition with innovation, and reverence with modern efficiency.
