The National Coordinator of Independent Hajj Reporters (IHR), Ibrahim Muhammed, has again been honored in Saudi Arabia for his exceptional contributions to the media coverage of the 2025 Hajj pilgrimage.
The recognition, which took place during a special ceremony in Makkah on Thursday, acknowledged Muhammad’s dedication and efforts in ensuring comprehensive and informative coverage of the annual Islamic pilgrimage.
The presentation was made by ENJAZ, the organisation responsible for logistics and distribution to Nigerian pilgrims.
The recognition by ENJAZ came almost a week after another Saudi-based service provider, Sana honoured the IHR coordinator for his tireless efforts in not just reporting the Hajj operations, but also working to protect the interests of pilgrims.
As part of the ceremony on Thursday, Muhammad received an appreciation plaque, symbolizing the gratitude for his invaluable work. He was also presented with a copy of the 2025 operations report, a document that details the logistical and operational aspects of the Hajj.
The honour reflects the significance of the media’s role in informing the public about the Hajj, which is a major event for Muslims worldwide. Muhammed’s efforts are believed to have played a key role in providing accurate and timely information to pilgrims and the wider global audience. The IHR, under Muhammad’s leadership, has been commended for its commitment to humanitarian service and its dedication to facilitating a smooth and well-informed Hajj experience for all.
