The Auchi chapter of the All-Progressives Congress (APC) has honoured outstanding natives, awarded scholarships to students, and empowered widows and women traders in a community-focused event aimed at fostering unity and development.
Speaking during the event, the chairman of the planning commission, Alhaji Yusufu Durusule, praised the chief host, Malam Abdurazak Aliyu, the Commissioner of Policy, Personnel, Management, and Finance at the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON), for spearheading the initiative.
In his remarks, Aliyu said the event was meant to “reaffirm our geopolitical values, unity, and the power of the people who have chosen to stand firm, serve with courage, and empower others in the journey towards progress.”
Several widows and women entrepreneurs received empowerment packages, while scholarships were presented to selected students.
Beneficiaries expressed gratitude for the gesture, which many described as timely and impactful. The occasion also featured cultural displays and entertainment for dignitaries and guests.
