Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency collaborate Nigeria Immigration Service for Successful Hajj Operations

Sokoto, Nigeria –

 

The Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency (PWA) and the Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) have reaffirmed their commitment to collaborative efforts in ensuring the success of future Hajj operations.

 

This assurance was made during a meeting between the Chairman of PWA, Alhaji Aliyu Musa, and the Comptroller of NIS, Sokoto Command, Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf.

 

During the meeting, Alhaji Aliyu Musa emphasized the critical role of the NIS in the Hajj exercise, highlighting the agency’s reliance on the service for seamless travel arrangements and border control.

 

He expressed optimism about the potential for enhanced collaboration between the two agencies, particularly in areas that would guarantee the success of the 2026 Hajj operation.

 

In his response, Comptroller Alhaji Kabiru Yusuf assured the PWA Chairman of the NIS’s renewed commitment to supporting the agency’s efforts.

 

He noted that the NIS is dedicated to ensuring the smooth passage of pilgrims through border control points and guaranteeing their safety during the Hajj exercise.

 

Both leaders expressed satisfaction with the existing relationship between their agencies and pledged to work together more closely to address any challenges that may arise during the Hajj operations. This collaboration is expected to significantly enhance the overall experience of Sokoto State pilgrims performing the Hajj.

 

The meeting underscores the shared commitment of both the Sokoto State Pilgrims Welfare Agency and the Nigeria Immigration Service to the welfare and success of pilgrims from Sokoto State.
