A section of Ghana’s Zongo community has called on President John Dramani Mahama to elevate the role of Tanko Abdul, the newly appointed Chairman of the Hajj Board by making him a sole commissioner.
Community leaders argue that granting the chairman full commissioner status would enhance operational authority and streamline decision-making, which they believe is necessary for the smooth running of Ghana’s Hajj affairs.
