The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has officially inaugurated the medical screening for intending pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj.
The exercise commenced today, Tuesday, January 27th, 2026, at the General Hospital, Hadejia Centre.
The screening is being conducted under the direct supervision and leadership of Director General Alhaji Ahmad Umar Labbo, with his Director of Operations, Muhammad Garba, in attendance.
Dr Habibu Abubakar is the Head of the medical team.
The ongoing screening process is crucial for ensuring the health and safety of all pilgrims, and it strictly adheres to Saudi Arabian regulations that allow only healthy individuals to perform the Hajj.
Director General Labbo has guaranteed transparency and fairness throughout the entire process.
Only medically fit pilgrims will be permitted to perform the Hajj.
This stringent measure is essential to ensure the well-being of all participants, with comprehensive tests and clearance being mandatory.
