Private Hajj operators in Nigeria have finalized accommodation arrangements for their allocated pilgrims for the 2026 Hajj in Makkah and Madina.
The Chairman of HUTUON Alh Muhammad Awwal Suleiman confirmed that all necessary preparations and procedures regarding accommodation spaces in the two holy cities have been successfully completed, setting the stage for the 2026 pilgrimage.
It was recalled that the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) allocated 9,750 Hajj slots to licensed private operators, with each operator receiving 69 slots. Last week, an additional 6,000 slots were added for distribution among the operators.
However, another Private Hajj Operator said there are skepticism on how to make use of the additional quota because the deadline for the registration of Masha’ir packages expired on the 2nd of February.
