The Jigawa State Pilgrims Welfare Board has commenced a sensitisation programme for intending pilgrims across the state’s zones ahead of the 2026 Hajj exercise.

The programme, organised by the board under the leadership of Director General, Ahmad Umar Labbo, represented by the Director of Administration and Finance, is aimed at educating pilgrims on procedures and regulations guiding the pilgrimage.

Supported by key agencies including the Nigeria Customs Service, Nigeria Immigration Service and the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, the exercise is designed to ensure a smooth and acceptable Hajj for participants.

During the sessions, officials provided detailed guidance on travel processes, from departure in Nigeria to activities in the Holy Land and return arrangements.

The board expressed appreciation to Governor Umar Namadi for his continued support, assuring that all necessary measures are being put in place for a hitch-free Hajj operation.
