Kwara State Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia to Observe Special Prayer for Security

*Makkah, Saudi Arabia – May 16, 2026*

The Kwara State pilgrims currently in the holy city of Makkah are set to observe a special prayer session in support of peace and security in Nigeria, with particular emphasis on Kwara State.

According to a statement issued by the Chairman of the Kwara State Pilgrims Board, Professor Masheed Jimba, the prayer session is scheduled to hold on May 17, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the mosque located within Kwara State House 1 in Makkah.

Professor Jimba explained that the initiative is aimed at seeking divine intervention in addressing the prevailing security challenges affecting Nigeria and Kwara State. He stressed the importance of collective spiritual efforts in promoting peace, unity, and stability across the nation.

The Chairman called on all Kwara State pilgrims to participate actively in the prayer session, noting its significance in fostering national harmony and enhancing public safety.

In a similar vein, a member of the Board, Alhaji Mahmud Nuhu Rasheed Bube, also encouraged all pilgrims to attend and take part in the prayer exercise.
