Revolutionary Reforms In Hajj, Umrah Digital System: Engineer Abdulaziz Honoured As Digital Transformation Leader
The Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has hailed the digital transformation within the Hajj and Umrah system as an unprecedented milestone crafted by national talent.
The Ministry extended high praise to Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Mutahmi for his pivotal role and outstanding contributions throughout this journey, officially honoring him with the well-deserved recognition as a leader of digital transformation.
According to details shared in coordination with the Saudi Digital Government Authority, Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Mutahmi who served as the Ministry’s Deputy Minister (Undersecretary) for Planning and Digital Transformation was presented with the prestigious recognition for his exemplary role in modernizing electronic services to align with the requirements of the smart era for the Guests of the Merciful.
Official data released in this regard reveals that under the leadership of Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Mutahmi, more than 500 vital digital services were developed via the ‘Nask Masar’ platform, significantly easing the pilgrimage journey for Hajj and Umrah performance. Driven by these robust digital initiatives, the number of active users on the ‘Nask App’ has successfully crossed the 51 million mark.
Concurrently, the Ministry of Hajj and Umrah secured a remarkable 93 percent score in the Digital Government Creativity Index for four consecutive years. These milestones have been realized in alignment with the digital transformation targets of Saudi Arabia’s long-term development blueprint, Vision 2030.
Engineer Abdulaziz Al-Mutahmi’s distinguished professional career spans several key milestones: he served as the General Manager for the Implementation of Digital Projects from 2010 to 2021, transitioned to Director of Digital Transformation from 2021 to 2022, and has been serving as the Ministry’s Deputy Minister since 2022. In recognition of his institutional leadership, he has secured numerous national and international accolades over recent years, including the “Best Digital Service Award” for Nask Masar in 2025, the “Best Digital Leader Award” and the World Summit Award (WSA) in 2024, alongside the Government Award for the top five digital services honoring the ‘Hajj Card’ in 2023.
The Ministry and relevant authorities have extended their warmest congratulations on this stellar achievement, wishing him continued progress and success.
