The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) has directed states to complete the remittance of all 2027 Hajj fares by December 2, 2026, warning that failure to meet the deadline could lead to the forfeiture of allocated pilgrimage slots.
The commission, in a public notice issued on Friday, said the deadline was fixed in line with Saudi Arabia’s requirements for timely data synchronisation and seat allocation.
NAHCON said no extension would be granted beyond December 2, stressing that states must ensure full payment within the stipulated period.
The commission also announced approved fares for the 2027 Hajj, ranging from N7,560,822 to N7,882,822, depending on the pilgrims’ departure zone.
Pilgrims departing from the Maiduguri/Yola zone will pay N7,560,822, while those from the Northern and Southern zones will pay N7,672,822 and N7,882,822 respectively.
According to NAHCON, the fares were approved by the federal government following consultations with the Forum of State Muslim Pilgrims’ Welfare Boards, service providers in Saudi Arabia and consideration of prevailing exchange rates and service costs.
The commission said intending pilgrims who had already deposited N5 million are required to pay the outstanding balance to complete their registration, while new registrants should make payments through their respective state pilgrims’ welfare boards, agencies or commissions, or approved Hajj Savings Scheme participating banks.
It also fixed September 26, 2026, as the final deadline for the complete upload of intending pilgrims’ biometric data on the Nusuk-Masar digital platform.
NAHCON urged all states to adhere strictly to the deadlines to avoid losing their allocated Hajj slots.
