The Nasarawa State Muslim Pilgrims Welfare Board has announced that its advance team will depart for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday, April 27, 2026, in preparation for the arrival of the state’s prospective pilgrims for this year’s Hajj.
According to a statement by the Executive Secretary of the Board, Mallam Idris Ahmed Almakura, the advance team comprises seven experienced operational staff charged with critical groundwork ahead of the main pilgrimage exercise.
The team, led by the Director of Welfare and Orientation, Mallam Ibrahim Abbah, is expected to finalize arrangements related to accommodation, feeding, and other essential welfare services to ensure a seamless and comfortable pilgrimage for all Nasarawa State pilgrims upon their arrival in the Holy Land.
Mallam Almakura expressed confidence in the team’s capacity to deliver on its mandate, noting that the early deployment underscores the Board’s commitment to proactive planning and pilgrim welfare.
The first flight carrying Nasarawa State pilgrims is scheduled for Sunday, May 3, 2026. Further updates on flight schedules and other pilgrimage arrangements will be communicated in due course.
