Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, has donated a 38-seater hybrid Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus to the Kaduna State Pilgrims Welfare Agency to support preparations for the 2026 Hajj operations.
The bus, which accommodates up to 68 passengers per trip including standing capacity, is expected to improve transportation logistics for intending pilgrims, enhancing efficiency, safety and comfort during the exercise.
The gesture reflects the governor’s commitment to strengthening operational support for a seamless Hajj exercise. His administration had earlier upgraded facilities at the Mando Hajj Camp, including the construction of an access road and other structural improvements to ease pilgrims’ transit.
Speaking during the presentation, Director of Operations at Kaduna Line, Muhammad Sagir, who represented the state government, said the donation underscores the administration’s people-focused approach and resolve to meet high standards in Hajj logistics.
Receiving the bus on behalf of the agency’s chairman, Director of Operations, Abubakar Usman Yusuf, described the intervention as timely, noting that it would significantly boost the agency’s capacity to transport pilgrims.
Yusuf also praised the adoption of CNG-powered vehicles, saying it aligns with global best practices in environmentally friendly and sustainable transportation.
The agency reaffirmed its readiness for the 2026 Hajj and pledged to deliver safe and efficient services to all intending pilgrims.
The statement was signed by the agency’s public relations officer, Ibrahim Datti.
