About a week after returning to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia following the conclusion of Hajj 2026 operations, The Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Alkauthar Travels and Tours, Hajiya Rabiat Umar has gone back to the holy land to kick start preparations for Hajj 2027.
The MD said she decided to return to Saudi Arabia to meet “relevant bodies such as service providers and others responsible for providing services to private tour operators to kick start preparations for next year’s Hajj exercise”.
Mrs Umar, who met briefly with the national coordinator of Independent Hajj Reporters, Ibrahim Mohammed in Makkah on Wednesday said her decision to go back to Saudi Arabia few days after retirement to Nigeria follows the instructions from the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) asking all state pilgrims boards and licensed tour operator companies to begin preparations for Hajj 2027.
“ I am also here to meet with those who offered services to our pilgrims this year for a review of the just concluded Hajj so that we will identify areas requiring improvement so that we can serve our pilgrims better insha Allah.
“ I have been meeting with all of them since I came back and we have particularly discussed areas where we had challenges in order to address them in future operations,” she said.
The Alkauthar MD also said part of her mission is to make arrangements for pilgrims travelling for Umrah through her company.
“You know Umrah is an all year round operation now and some of the pilgrims who couldn’t make it to the Hajj may decide to come for Umrah.
“Also, we will take advantage of this trip to make arrangements for our Ramadan Umrah pilgrims,” she said.
