A Saudi-based Hajj service provider, Mashariq Al Dhahabiah, has assured Nigerian pilgrims of improved and top-quality services during the 2027 Hajj exercise.
Speaking with Hajj Reporters, the company’s Head of Nigeria Field Services, Mr. Kalantan, said preparations had already commenced to ensure Nigerian pilgrims enjoy seamless services in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
He disclosed that the company plans to distribute NUSUK cards to Nigerian pilgrims before their departure from Nigeria, a move aimed at eliminating challenges associated with card issuance upon arrival in Saudi Arabia.
Kalantan said Mashariq had already tested the initiative ahead of the 2026 Hajj by deploying its staff to Nigeria to issue NUSUK cards to some intending pilgrims before they travelled.
According to him, pilgrims from Lagos State and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) received their NUSUK cards in Nigeria before arriving in Saudi Arabia.
“We observed the difficulties Nigerian pilgrims experienced during the 2025 Hajj regarding NUSUK card issuance. This year, we sent a team to Nigeria to operationalise the programme and ensure pilgrims received their cards before travelling,” he said.
The official also promised improved tent arrangements in Mina and other enhanced services to ensure a more comfortable pilgrimage experience.
He noted that the company distributed free Al Baik meals to Nigerian pilgrims during the 2026 Hajj and pledged to sustain such initiatives in future operations.
Kalantan reaffirmed Mashariq Al Dhahabiah’s commitment to delivering first-class services to Nigerian pilgrims and working closely with Hajj stakeholders to improve service delivery during the 2027 pilgrimage.
