The National Hajj Commission of Nigeria NAHCON has paid the sum of Seven hundred and forty-four million, nine hundred and nineteen naira (N744, 919, 792) to 154 Hajj and Umrah Operators who participated in the 2023 Hajj as a refund for service not rendered
A payment document seen by HAJJ REPORTERS shows that the amount has been credited to the Operators’ various Accounts via CBN order code 096 for onward distributions to their respective 2023 hajj pilgrims as a refund for services not rendered.
Further analysis of the documents shows that the money was credited into 17 different bank accounts belonging to the 154 Private Hajj Operators with an attached analysis of refund Mashair electricity 2023 hajj and a code number.
Hajj Reporters reported that NAHCON announced that each pilgrim who participated in the 2023 Hajj exercise would be refunded 150 Saudi Riyals after the Saudi Arabian Ministry of Hajj and Umrah refunded them for services poorly rendered to the pilgrims.
Also, the commission announced that Nigerian pilgrims who participated in the 2022 Hajj under Private Hajj Operators would receive SR62,602 (about N27 million) as a refund from the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah for ‘’poor feeding’’ in Mina that year.
