Hajj 2024: Deputy Minister of Hajj, Saudi officials inspects water projects at Holy Sites

Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Bin Hilal Al-Mushaiti and Deputy Minister of Hajj and Umrah Dr. Abdelfattah Mashat reviewed the progress of work on development projects in water sector being carried out in the Holy Sites.A

 

The deputy ministers revealed this after they conducted a field tour aimed at examining the progress of work on a number of development projects in the water system implemented by the National Water Company in the Holy Sites of Makkah.

The meetings discussed both the work progress in the completed projects, and those under implementation with the aim of developing the infrastructure, raising operating efficiency to sustain water supplies, in addition to improving the service provided to pilgrims.

The two deputy ministers indicated that conducting these developing projects comes as a translation of the directives of Saudi Arabia’s wise leadership in harnessing all the services for pilgrims, and facilitating their performance of their rituals.

It is noteworthy that the field tour included checking on the monitoring and control center in Mina holy site, where the water system is being managed through smart technologies.

This is among a number of projects being implemented, that include infrastructure development projects in the Holy Sites, which are being worked on at an accelerated pace in order to complete them according to the specified time programs, and the strategic plans to develop the services provided to pilgrims in preparation of the Hajj season 1445.
