Niger State Pilgrims Welfare Board said the Niger State Ministry of Transport will partner to ensure a seamless and efficient airlift process for 2024 pilgrims in Minna.
The Commissioner of Transport, Hajiya Hadiza Idris Kuta gave the hints yesterday during a courtesy visit to the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Mohammad Awwal Aliyu.
A statement by the Public Relations Officer of the board, Jibrin Usman Kodo stated that the commissioner of Transport also discussed other challenging issues currently facing the Airport in Mina – which is crucial for the successful airlifting of pilgrims from the airport.
The discussion also captured the need for a comfortable and well-equipped permanent Hajj camp, to provide an enhanced experience for the pilgrims during their stay.
She expressed her commitment to supporting the Board in putting up a request to the Government even though they both understand the enormity of the money involved.
In his response, the Executive Secretary of the Board, Sheikh Mohammad Awwal Aliyu, expressed gratitude for the support and continuous collaboration offered by the Transport Ministry.
Sheikh Mohammad emphasized the importance of a smooth and efficient airport operation in Minna, which would greatly enhance the overall experience of the pilgrims and reiterated the Board’s commitment to work closely with the Transport Ministry to address any challenges that may arise during the pilgrimage.
With this collaboration, the Transport Ministry and the Pilgrims Welfare Board are poised to create an environment that promotes a hassle-free airlift process for pilgrims.
