Hajj 2024: First Batch of Alkauthar Pilgrims leave for Saudi Arabia

The first batch of Alkauthar Travels and Tours pilgrims to this year’s Hajj pilgrimage have travelled to Saudi Arabia today.

The pilgrims, who are mostly from Gombe state travelled in two batches aboard Egypt Air and Ethiopian Airlines. Those who travelled with Egypt Air took off from the Mallam Aminu Kano International Airport Kano, while those who travelled with Ethiopian Air, departed through the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport Abuja.

Speaking with HAJJ REPORTERS shortly before the departure, the Managing Director of the award-winning tour operator, Hajiya Rabiat Umar said “as always our pilgrims would be travelling in batches based in their chosen dates of departure. More pilgrims will be travelling to Madinah soon. Some will be on board Qatar Air, Ethiopian and Egypt Air”.

The MD also added that reception teams comprising of the staff of the company based in Saudi Arabia and few from the head office in Abuja who travelled earlier to receive the pilgrims.

“Insha Allah, we expect a smooth operation this year, due to the seamless nature of Visa issuance, which had been a problem over the years”

“I must personally commend the leadership of NAHCON and the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and the Muassasa for the wonderful innovations this year. Our prayer is that everything will end well and our pilgrims will have Hajj Mabroor,” Hajiya Rabiat said.
